When put on the spot in class, Pakhomov cannot seem to solve his own problems. His test problems are insanely hard, and they are completely random. Thus far, he is the worst teacher I've had at UAH.

You'll hate him. His tests have nothing to do with what he goes over in class. You might as well use your time doing every problem in the book, because you'll need it to be able to even come close to passing one of his tests. Run. Seriously. Run.

This class was very interested yet hard due to the material. His test were hard but ppl fail to understand the concept of college. However he did give us so many chances to bring up our grades with all the makeup test. He made us strive for that A. If you really want to learn physics i recommend him

Test had very little to do with covered materials. never bothered to show us HOW he got an answer, just kind said "You do this and then some of this, maybe this if you feel like it, oh and a pinch of this for flavor and heres the number."

He was a very nice person and gave many opportunities for makeup quizes and midterm..but he did a really bad job of explaining things and just derived formulas on the board. The questions on his tests seem to come out of nothing we had learned..very hard class...but his grade scaling was nice..

Needlessly difficult class. His examples in class were complex and he made little attempt to explain them. Worse, they often weren't relevant to the chapter being tested. His tests are unusually difficult and little errors cause you to lose big points. He seems to understand but be unable to teach.

RUN! If you get him for your class, drop as soon as you can. I've known those on the high school physics team struggle in his class.

After an entire semester of g=9.81 m/s^2, we get the final. "Derive the gravity of the moon. From now on, assume all problems are done on the moon." About the standard obscureness on his tests.

If you are interested in learning Physics, you will truly understand it after taking his course, IF you plan on working. He is a brilliant teacher and does a great job and teaching you to think critically. I am looking forward to taking him again for PH112.
