I took this class her first semester at UAH, maybe she was on a power trip as the new dean. Grades totally random, wont give feedback. On the papers- pick topics you KNOW she likes and is interested in, you will score higher. Never disagree with her. This class isn't difficult, just time …more consuming. Highly group oriented. less

The class is really easy. The assignments don't take long and aren't hard, but don't expect any help from the teacher. She has been unable to answer questions about the assignments. Her lectures were pretty bad, but they were pretty short(30-45min of the 3hrs) but all she did was read slides that …more somebody else wrote. seemed unqualified to teach less

Really interesting course. Professor has real-world experience and is very intelligent, plus she really does care about students. If you put in the effort to actually READ and come to class you will learn and do well on the exams and case summaries. She wants you to succeed and she has a passion …more for the material. Pay attention and you'll be fine! less

She teaches the class like a graduate level course. Lots of outside reading and lots of in-class discussion of what you read. She keeps things relevant and is very knowledgeable. Class flew by. The reading does not fly by and all that writing is time consuming. Tests are very long essay tests. Good …more class overall but not easy. less

Second time with prof. Keys are: READ, pay attention, PARTICIPATE, and get your group project started early. What you write for exams/assignments MUST demonstrate you know and understand the concepts (lecture notes on Canvas). Prof. is experienced, knowledgeable, and encouraging, so make sure to …more take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions! less

The class itself covered material that was tough for me to grasp. As an accounting undergraduate student and currently in the MAcc program, theory classes are tough and I prefer classes with numbers and clear answers. This course was very abstract, but she made the lectures interesting and is a …more very fair grader on exams and case studies. less

Dr. St. John is very knowledgeable and makes the class interesting, but I found most of the material inapplicable. She isn't very clear on her grading criteria either. As long as you somewhat understand the concepts the worst you can do is a B.

MGT601 involved a lot of reading, and a significant group project. There is 2 papers in the course, both being around two or more pages long. The mid term and final involved 5 to 8 questions resulting in about 2 to 3 written pages in answers each test. She is not a tough grader - relate to course …more content as much as possible and you will get a B. less

Loved Dr St. John. She really knows her stuff and wants to pass along her knowledge to you. She lives class participation so be sure to speak up. Her tests are not difficult if you read the material she assigned. She grades based on whether you understand the CONCEPTS that she's taught about. If …more you read the material, you'll easily make a A or B. less
