Pretty easy class overall. Weekly homework, and the textbook is essential. The readings are long and some of the wording is difficult to follow. Didn't really enjoy the in class discussions, most of them were pretty boring, which is unfortunate because I really do love philosophy and discussing the …more topics we go over. less

Gives 1 weekly hw and tons of reading. No exams or tests except for the final, which he gives a study guide for. A paper is due at the end of the quarter. He does take attendance everyday that counts towards your grade. Really nice. Accepts late hw and is an easy grader. Lectures are extremely hard …more to follow because he gets off track a lot. less

Do the homework, go to class, study for the final exam, and you will pass the class. He isn't great about emailing back so you may have to bug him before of after class if you have a question. Everything is done through his website not blackboard. Lectures were interesting and funny. Lastly make …more sure you get the book. Life is easier with the book. less

Proff took all class period for discussion. Readings are to be done at home. Online hw assignment once every week. Attendance counts. Midterm is writing a 6 paged paper final is a written exam. The final consists of 25 questions which are all Q&A. Good luck. Don't mess up on midterm or final.

Attendance is a part of your grade. You need the book to do the weekly homework. Hw is reading one chpt each week, and answering the questions he provides thru his web site. You will have an essay due at the end of the quarter. The final is free response homework questions(15-20). He'll give you …more all the questions and answers at the end. Study them! less

This class overs epistemology, the study of knowledge. Mostly in class discussion. Must read and comprehend text, participate in class, and write a paper on ancient philosophy to pass. Slightly tough grader, but if it sounds interesting I'd say to go for it.

Daniel Kwon is super awesome! Intro to philosophy gets super interesting, especially when youre involved and participate! Make sure you add to the discussion. Attendance is mandatory, theres a weekly assignment based on readings that youll discuss each week. Just a super good class overall, not …more hard. He prepares you for the final and term paper less

Professor Kwon is great! He makes class interacting, and funny. Attendance is mandatory, there's a weekly assignment based on readings that you'll discuss each week. He goes over everything. Final is based on the same exact questions as the homework. No midterms, 1 final and 1 paper. Super easy …more class less

The overall class was good but it was really hard to follow. This is because he went off subject throughout the lecture.
