Way too many terms too know for each exam. You literally learn enough to pass but he does not engage students in a a sect most care less about.

what!professor Dubios is very engaging and makes his class and the material interesting.i do agree the yes his study guides are long and expects you to remember a lot from lectures which btw he does not post so attend class regularly, but if you study and take good notes you will do fine. class is …more comprised of quizzes, two test,1 final and readings. less

Professor Dubois' class is somewhat difficult, but at the same time very rewarding. He has loads of information to share, and while at first it seems overwhelming,, but it prepares you for other classes. Awesome class, lots of work, but interesting.

Lots of reading for the class and the material was interesting. As long as you read the class material the midterm and final should be easy. He has powerpoints for the class but does not make them available on blackboard so make sure the reading is done and to take good notes!

THE INSTRUCTOR LACKS OVERALL ORGANIZATION AND CAN BE A BIT CONFUSING. PLUS ITS WAY TOO MUCH WORK FOR ONE UNIT, WHEN THE CLASS MEETS ONCE A WEEK AND THERE IS A QUIZ ONCE A WEEK. IF THE CLASS WAS SET UP A BIT DIFFERENT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

Professor Dubois is amazing and he is a very nice guy! His class lectures are very interesting and fun. He does weekly quizzes on readings and theres 2 midterms and a final. If you do the readings and attend class you will do great!

I took race and racism and I learned a lot from him and his class. His lectures can sometimes get too long but its important to go because his quizzes and tests are often based on his lecture. I always wrote down what he said rather than what was on the power point and I did OK. ARRIVE ON TIME, he …more gives quizzes at the very beginning of class. less

I have mixed feelings about him. His class is interesting. BUT be careful when speaking in discussions if you dont regurgitate what he says he will give you an attitude. I get that race is a sensitive and personal subject, but how he sometimes reacts to students is a bit unprofessional and makes …more him unapproachable. He has pop quizzes and 3 exams. less
