At first I thought that he wasn't very good and his accent can be a little hard to understand but as the quarter commenced I ended up liking him a lot and felt that he was very helpful with any questions and concerns and presented a lot of examples. He also has a quirky sense of humor which was …more funny. I would recommend taking his class. less

This is the worst prof I've ever had. I was so looking forward to this course and he ruined it. Gives no directions, is utterly incomprehensible, contributes nothing, plays michael jackson at full volume during midterm, even after being informed it was distracting. He's just oblivious. There is no …more objective standard for his grading of assignments. less

His accent is very difficult to understand. Assignments are easy, but his test can be difficult. His test are half multiple choice half fill-in the blank/ short essay. Does not give extra credit. I was at a 79.5 c+ and he will not give you the higher grade.

Very disappointed that CSUSB has kept him on staff. He is the worst professor I have had here. Accent is very strong and use of correct english words is poor. All grading is subjective which leaves students to his mercy. It is also very unfortunate that he teaches Soc 307/309 as they are …more important classes that should be taught by someone capabl less

I'd say don't take him but unfortunately he is the only one that is teaching 307....so if you need it as many of us do - you're in trouble. He is an awful teacher. The other student is correct in saying his grading is all subjective which is bias. Stay away if can!!!! I wanted to get Geront Cert - …more won't now. less

Yes, very unfair when it comes to grading. Boring lectures. I don't ever want to take one of his classes. Waste of time.

By far THE WORST PROFESSOR THAT I HAVE EVER HAD! He gives 3 tests, and no sort of review or study guide. He is not helpful at all!!!!! It is sad that he is one of the two professors that teach the course, which BTW is required for graduation! You can take him who has a HEAVY accent or another prof. …more with the SAME problem! less

This is the most difficult class I have taken at CSUSB and I am graduating this quarter. I am surprised the Soc. department has not replaced him due to what I imagine are terrible student evaluations. His lectures have nothing to do with the exams and he does not hand them back or explain them. I …more do not recommend this instructor! If you have a choi less
