She sticks to the book and is not creative. Also she grades hard and doesn't let anyone talk in class plus makes you memorize a lot without letting u have time to practice. Boring lecturer.

She inflates grades which is good for people who dont do their work or show up for class. But it sucks for those who actually DO their work and try hard.

She is one of the greatest professors that I have had! She makes sure that students understand the material and is extremely helpful. A certain degree of freedom is allowed in class. She has a sense of humor too, and I highly recommend people to take her classes.

I think she is a good professor. She teaches you thoroughly, gives you what to study for the test, and if you do all that she says, you will get a good grade. Oh, and she is cute too :)

By far, she's a good teacher! Though it's hard to understand her since English is not her primary language, she's still the best professor for Japanese by far. She's there for her students too.

Professor Amaya is one of the best professors I have had. She is very friendly and is always willing to help her students. She gave a lot of work in all the Japanese classes I have taken, but they are very helpful in terms of actually learning the language. I would recommend anyone to take her …more classes. less

She's willing to help you with whatever she can. Sometime's she's overly cute, which may be distracting to some.

It's true she is nice, funny, cute and helpful, but she is also a hard teacher. I've had 3 Japanese teachers and she is kind of a Kanji Natzi! WATCH ALL THE VIDEOS! Most of her midterm is the videos. WORK HARD and you will do GREAT! Don't skip classes because you will get all confused. Teacher VERY …more GOOD. Work load A LOT. less
