Nice guy, laid back. Class is pretty easy-lectures straight from the book. Tests are also out of the book. 2 outlines, 2 papers, 1 debate. Class gets a little tiring, but probably one of the better profs for mgmt 405.

thies is a really interesting guy, but business ethics is boring, and he has you do a 10-15 paper on ethics and a debate, i would take him again though

Interesting individual, kinda boring & picky in my opinion, but overall the class is not very demanding altho his 10-15 page paper can kill you at the end. Nevertheless exams are easy, 1 team project, and just don't leave the paper to the end.

An amiable, interesting, knowledgable professor. He his very responsive and his course is very engaging. The exams are extremely fair, just along the directions are followed carefully. Any of the courses taught by this professor is highly recommended.

Great guy, great class. Very interesting and informative. 3 or 4 tests, a debate and a paper, but he helps you space it out. Take him!

This professor sucks! I have no idea what these other people are talking about. He is very unclear and unhelpful. I took his class expecting it to be easy but he graded so harshly and his tests were so hard. He's one of those teachers who are laid back, but don't teach you anything. but he tests on …more Everything! Do not take him. less

I had Thies for Managing a Multicultural Workforce. The class was excellent and he is a great prof. Extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and fair. The lectures were interesting, succinct, and the projects made sense and were not convoluted or very difficult. I would strongly recommend him.

I took Prof. Thies for Managing in a Multicultural workplace. The study of the Mexican population and immigration is interesting (especially in So Cal). We took a day trip to Tijuana as a business trip. The classes consisted of lectures and little class discussion. I enjoyed this class and the …more work was not overwhelming. less

Cultivating Stakeholders was a pretty easy A as long as you are willing to put in a little bit of work. Class consisted of a midterm paper, volunteering at a CBA event, and a final project that we worked on throughout the semester. Many of the classes are "working sessions" you do not …more need to attend if you are ahead of schedule on your project ! less
