Agree completely with previous rating...he's a little unorthodox as he is not hands on at first, he wants you to work your way through things, but as soon as he sees you really need help, he's always there. Great!

I know it's all opinion, but on the subject of teaching screenwriting, at least at an undergrad level, I fell that sharing your work as you write is an important part of learning. Professor Frieman is of another mindset, unfortunately. We rarely had class, and most of your work goes unread by …more peers. Many times it was apparent that he had read your pages right before meeting with you, and on the television script I wrote, he said he didn't know the show, so he had no real notes for me. Hard to learn from. less

Want an A? Take this class. He doesn't let all the academic mumbo jumbo get in the way. He teaches you what he knows is important from his experience in the industry. He is very knowledgeable and willing to answer all your questions. You get from this class what you put into it. If you don't …more want to learn anything, you can get an A and Vice Versa. less

Easy A, take home final, show up to class, he tells you almost all the answers to the final, which are just short answers from the one book he uses

He is by far the worst professor i have ever had. When you go to class, u sit and listen to him read you info straight from the book. There is no engagement from students. This guy simply cannot teach. He could have made this subject so interesting, but instead he really ruined my experience by not …more motivating or pushing us to succeed and work hard. less

The class is extremely easy!! Easiest A I've got in college. The class can get boring but he tells you interesting things about the subject and the work load is none existent. Midterm and final are 20 true/false questions. HELLA EASY!! He tells you what to study beforehand too. Very down to earth …more guy that is happy to give out A's. less
