There is some reading to be done, but he is a great lecturer and has study sessions that helps a lot for the exams. His exams are pretty easy too because he just asks for the general big picture and not for specific details. Would definitely recommend.

This class was super difficult. He expects you to be a world historian like he is. Also, there is a ton of reading, and so much is covered. There are no study guides and he basically expects you to know everything, but then asks RANDOM questions on the exams. The exams are short like 20 questions …more so if you miss one or two your grade already drops. less

Freeman is a great lecturer and is very knowledgable of the subject but when it comes to his tests the class got a bit difficult for me. There is a TON of reading and a lot of material is covered at once. He tries his best to ask some big picture questions but his Final exam was extremely picky in …more terms of information. Go to the TA review sessions! less

Dr. Freeman is a great teacher. His class is fairly simple and doesn't require more work than the typical GE class. His tests got easier, and had very fair questions. He is remarkably kind, and the class is interesting enough to stay awake at 8 am.

Freeman is obviously knowledgable about what he's teaching. However, he is not a very engaging lecturer and he often jumps around in what he's teaching. The tests are not easy, with random questions appearing that haven't been studied. Using the study guide alone will not get you the grade you …more want. Be prepared to do a crazy amount of reading. less

Freeman loves his job, and it is very obvious. I did not read the book and got an A in the class. If you go to class, and take notes, you will pass. You will also gain a new perspective that history skips over. If you write down what he says about each slide, and study that, you will be good.

I had a great experience with professor Freeman! He is fair and teaches at an easy to follow pace, without asking anything unreasonable from his students. I felt that his class was very easy.

Freeman is an amazing professor that is clearly very passionate about the class topics. The class is fairly easy, if you show up to class and read the textbook, you'll do just fine. He only bases his grades on the four exams, so don't skip readings. I would definitely take his class again!

Dr. Freeman gives amazing lectures, and it is evident that he is passionate about what he does. This is not a hard class if you pay attention in class, and do the outside readings. He is an incredibly smart man, and his humor grows on you throughout the semester. Choose Dr. Freeman for Hum 111, you …more won't regret it, and you will learn so much. less

Freeman is a good guy and incredibly smart. He changed his class this semester and it is now solely graded on 4 exams, zero extra credit. There is no longer a textbook. Very reading heavy. If you went every class and read every reading you can get an A. But it's an 8am. GO TO THE TA REVIEW …more SESSIONS. Can pull a B with just TA review and some study. less
