Rafael is the easiest A that you will ever get. However, you will need to endure seemingly endless classes of lecture, that honestly have nothing to do with Humanities. If you have the option of taking Marcello, you essential are choosing between A) learning something (but putting in work with …more Marcello) or B) Leaning nothing and getting an easy A. less

I learned absolutely nothing in his class. You aren't required to read, there are no grades except the final AND his incredibly subjective evaluation of you... if you want the easiest possible A of your LIFE, take this and suck up to him.

You might have an A, and you might have a C... as he told me during my end of year evaluation (wouldn't you know a week before grades are due?) His discussions are largely philosophy-based, interesting but scattered... and his voice, Ah, his voice!! not the easiest thing to stay awake during …more after a night out at the club!! less

Professor Sassot is an engaging teacher. In our humanities course, he spent most of the time discussing philosophy and art. The philosophy was the most helpful because, as we learned the floorplan of 19th-20th century philosophy, trends in art, music, and social events became very easy to trace. …more I'm very fond of his pedagogy. less

Sassot is first and foremost, a genius. He cares but never gives so much leeway that you lose respect for him and the subject matter is always intensely interesting, especially if you're interested in the study of the human condition. Take this class for great conversations and a passionate teacher.

At the start of the class it was clear that Sassot was either a genius or full of crap and here at the end I now feel it is the latter. Although an incredibly personable and kind, even intellectual man, his cryptic monologues are at best not useful when it comes to learning about or even …more appreciating art and at worst incoherent. less

Mess around on your computer and maybe nap while Sassot talks a lot without really saying anything. Then, write a 4-6 page paper on a bad movie. You might learn something in this class, but it won't be from the lectures.

I have no idea why people are hating on his lectures on this site. He's one of the most intelligent and engaging people I've ever met. Take his class. He's absolutely amazing and the work wasn't too much.

Amazing teacher. You have to follow his monologues and you will really learn. He is a teacher for guys who think above the normal. If you are a lazy guy who just go and sit or you go just because your parents sent you, you won't take advantage of the class. It is really enriching, he teaches life …more lessons. Never met a teacher like him. less

Sassot is a professor in Pepperdine's Buenos Aires program currently. As I had taken Hum 111 and absolutely hated it, I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting Hum 212 was with the way he taught it. He is a professor that will blow your mind as he focuses heavily on human condition. Several …more reading quizzes, a paper and a final. Recommend! less
