She knows a lot and wants to share her knowledge and passion, but she reads her lectures off a sheet of paper so she's not very engaging. Lectures don't include anything in the textbook so you have to read everything, sometimes over 100 pages per week. Write papers about discrimination against …more women, immigrants, and slaves and you'll be solid. less

She's approachable as a person and gives helpful feedback on essays. She is not a hard grader at all. The essays are not difficult either. The only problem I had with her was that she took too long to grade them. The course is reading intensive but you don't have to read the whole chapter, just the …more chronology, chapter summary, and the review. less

Long, boring lectures about "American History" but she skips over very important information and instead focuses on slavery for 34 of the semester. Fine but then don't call it an American History class. There is a lot more to America than that. She did allow 3 or 4 absences before she marked you …more down which was awesome. less
