The class is taught similar to a major course. He gives a quiz every class that is multiple choice but there are normally 5 options for the correct answer and about 3 of the answers could be correct, this makes the quizzes very tricky and difficult. Tests are very detail specific and he expects you …more to go as much in depth as possible. Way too hard less

The course is way too difficult for a 100 level GE entry class. The teacher is so serious about the course, he assigns seats for exams in a 300 person auditorium. The exams usually have a few answers that could be right on multiple choice, to trick you. He also asks you to describe 7-8 different …more things in short answer. Dude needs to chill... less

I've never understood why the GE courses at Pepperdine are the hardest courses offered at the university. This one is right up there with humanities, close to impossible to achieve an A.

Professor Willis is a very nice professor. His lectures are long and there are a lot of lists. You should write everything he says down. The tests are hard and are mostly lecture-based. Everything is quiz and test based for the final grade so do well on those. Its a hard class. Consume caffeine or …more you may fall asleep. The final is not cumulative. less

Very unhelpful, slow grader, and stingy with points. Nice person, but not the best professor. He makes his own quizzes and some of the questions are complete tricks. Would not recommend for religion 101, there's other professors that are so much better/easier.

T. Willis is an amazing religion professor... all his tests have a study guide. The study guides are always based on lecture powerpoints (have to go to class). Finish the study guide -- A on his tests. Only have 3 short assignments, attendance is 25 points. He has themed ties and always tries to …more get to know everyone. less

What a sweet professor. My class was an 8am and I looked forward to getting up each day and coming to his class. He knew all 200 students' names by the second day of class and tried to shake everyone's hands before each class. He gave good notes, and the the tests were easy. I miss having him …more as a professor so much. less

Dr. Willis is a caring, hard professor. He shakes everyone's hands before class, and seems to care about his students. His quizzes are tough, so make sure you do the reading. For the final, he gives you a helpful study guide. As long as you stay on top of the reading and have a good understanding …more of the main topics from lectures, you'll be fine. less

Great person. Great professor. Tells you what you need to know. Tests are very difficult but if you study a lot you will do well. Only downside is he is not negotiable.

does he shakes everyones hand? yes. does he try to remember everyones name in a 200 ppl. lecture hall? yeah. is he knowledgeable in religion? definitely, he has a PhD from Harvard. Will he ruin your GPA? YEP! He is the definition of a prof who does, "A, B, C, D, A and B only, C and A only, All …more of above, None of above." Good luck :) less
