Don't take. He is such a tough professor. He bases his lectures on very hard concepts and assumes you know full Web Dev technologies. His projects are really hard and doesn't give you enough time.

Parra is a cool dude. Expect to work for your grade as the homework is hard. He lectures for about half the class time and the material he gives only introduces you to the topic so prepare to learn on your own. He gives advice if you ask. You need to learn Midterm + Final are open note, open book, …more open internet + you get 50% for just showing up. less

If there's a class you want to work hard in it's this one. His class prepares you how to be a software engineer. He teaches you the full stack while using relevant technologies such as Spark framework(Java) and React(Javascript). He gives more than enough time for a single homework. sometimes 4 …more weeks. Just don't do the home 1 day before its due. less
