The class was fun and overall it wasn't very difficult. The tests are very straightforward, though reading the "short" history of the movies textbook is a bit dull. Its a 3 hour class in which we get lectured on a film and watch it. Van Sijll is insightful and shows great movies... except …more for "Bend it Like Beckham" less

Good professor, very knowlegeable and helpful. Class consisted of three exams, all multiple choice. Very good course for GE requirements, made better with the right teacher.

She provides all the notes and makes the exams quite easy, multiple choice.however if you want an easy A dont choose this class, her grading is strict unless you are good at memorising hundreds of director names and the year and movie titles.

This class took up most of my time. First of all she makes you see such depressing movies that you can't get over them for a few days. She grades on a curve but the only reason is because she makes the exams way too hard

Power points were filled with typos, poor spelling and made up words. Used wikipedia as a credible source for lectures. Does not have office hours. Only once did our class get a break during the entire semester of this 3 hour long class. She subjected us to emotionally damaging films …more immediately before exams. less

She is a really nice and helpful. I highly recommend her for students to take her class, English001A over Mission College. You really will have fun and will learn many things about English: writing essay using strong vocabs and using the semicolon in the correct place..Take her...Easy at the same …more time.... less
