What is most confusing is that he teaches 3 different ways to do one thing and does not use actual numbers when doing examples, its all general. He definitely cares and answers questions if you ask him but its hard since the class sizes are large. I put the entire homework in my notebook for …more tests and still failed, they are completely different less

There are total 4 exams, 25% each toward the total grade. If you choose to do hw, then the exam will be 20% each, and the hw will be another 20%. (Recommend to do the hw). Each exam has 4 questions, and remember(ALYASYS SHOW ALL YOUR WORK ON THE EXAM). Good luck. :)

Professor Caudy is very likable and loves what he teaches. Homework is optional but he said it would help your grade a lot. I wrote every homework question and practice exam in my notebook and took it with me to the tests (open notebook) sometimes it helped. If you have questions ASK he's more …more than happy to help, yes its hard to do b/c class size less

HM only 5% of total grade and super hard, never did it. All open note exams, topics covered clearly by lecture notes - never needed to attend class but he will change dates/ give out info in lecture that is not posted on his web site or in his posted lecture notes. If you took chemistry you know …more more than 1/2 of this class already! less

Great professor. i plan to take both of my upcoming required phys classes with him !! Great teaching style, interesting and he knows his physics pretty well ! he is a hard grader, but if you attend and take notes, do your fair share of practice and his tests should be a breeze! Oh and homework …more only counts if it helps your grade. less

Caudy is a great professor and the best in SFSU hands down (for physics). The only grade is the test but there is HW and he will add that to your grade if it helps. Their are four test and that is it, not cumulative. I recommend rewritting the notes, he puts everything he does online so you could …more miss a class or two. Study the concept stuff to. less

Caudy is a fairly nice teacher. He has a good grading scale for tests. Doing homework helps even though frequent but helps understand. Tests are 1 sheet and multiple choice. Funny guy. Neatness with lectures on the white board. Make sure to review notes. Tests are open note. 4 tests. He posts some …more lecture notes online. less
