Dean Hadad will let you use textbooks and any notes during tests. His grading scale is amazing: A 50 is a C. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone could fail a class with him. He tells the same stories over and over and doesn't realize he's doing it which is kind of endearing. Overall he's a great guy, …more a great professor, and an easy A. less

He's a good professor. He lets you use any notes you have taken, your textbook, and any hard copy printed out notes on the exams. He is very helpful outside of class. Nice guy overall. I recommend him.

Pros: Crazy curve- a 33 is a D-?! Open note exams, little HW. Lets you drop your worst test. Cons: Every class he shares stories from his "Hall of Fame". Which is basically 'stupid' questions people have asked him, or really wrong answers on exams. He seems very condescending and I'm afraid to ask …more questions in his class. less

His grading curve is CRAZY. Hard to fail. Lectures can be confusing sometimes. Hard to approach during lectures- he seems to mock students whom do not understand the material. He shares the same stories every week (as if he forgot that he told us, they are interesting but get annoying after the …more first three times). Overall, this class was decent. less

Dean Hadad is very considerate, knowledgeable, and compassionate about teaching. He goes above and beyond what a normal professor would with respect to ensuring his students mastery of the subject. His exams are very fair and his lectures are interesting. He is always available for extra assistance …more if you ask and he is very approachable. less

Professor gets very off topic which I thought was good at first but turned into a real problem when the work got difficult and I had questions. Tests are very hard even though he gives you a one page cheat sheet on each exam. Test problems were a lot more difficult that those in other sections of …more Calc 1. Plus he grades attendance. less

Dean Hadad feels like a grandfather; immensely knowledgeable and wise yet gets distracted by everything and goes off on unrelated tangents for half of the lecture. This made it difficult to learn in class but if you do enough studying by yourself then it will not be a problem. Great guy.

Dr. Hadad is one of the best teachers I've had. He's funny and engaging, while teaching you a lot, both about the subject at hand and life (he's very wise). If you ever get a moment to just sit down and talk with him, do it. He is one of the most interesting and respectable men I've ever met.

very wise and nice person, but scares me in class. he rarely answers questions and teaches straight out of the book. he can barely read peoples writing and makes many mistakes grading and doing problems.
