She calls on people to read all the time, has like 8 reading quizzes, midterm, two papers and a final. Overall she is nice and helpful if you ask

Dr. Borck is smart, engaging and an entertaining lecturer. She knows a lot about what she teaches but is open to and intrigued by students' ideas. She's not an easy grader but you shouldn't have any trouble if you care about the class and read what you're supposed to.

Professor Borck isn't the easiest teacher, however, she is very helpful to students who reach out or express their issues within the course. It is crucial to meet with her if you feel uneasy. She clarifies well and assist you to get back on the right track

She is definitely interesting, intelligent and a decent teacher when it comes to politics, especially when the class is a lecture and teaches directly, but for my class, a "flipped classroom" aspect was provided- basically an attempt to wing the whole semester and hope for the best when it comes to …more newly attempted ways of teaching. Very confusing. less

I would not advise taking this class as a "flipped" class. It's based on out of class learning and focuses on in class activities rather than lectures. Overall Catherine Borck is a very nice professor. If you show up and do the work you will pass with a good way. She helps students who ask for it. …more Makes learning fun but not a fan of flipped class. less

Dr. Borck is a very sweet and caring person who wants her students to do well and gives plenty of extra credit. Her tests are very easy. Class is an easy A, there's so much group work and easy assignments its hard to do poorly in her class. I felt like I didn't do much work.

She gives out extra credit so thats great. Lots of reading outside of class and she relates it to her lectures. Sometimes she will give pop quizzes. If you miss a class its no biggie but don't make a habit out of it or you'll get lost. Dr. Borck is really nice and will help you if you need it, just …more make sure you ask for it because she is willing. less
