Very entertaining, if frightfully disorgonized professor. I really enjoyed her. Pretty easy tester, too.

Mags was always a little lost in our civ class. She mispronounced everything(!) and when she would show pictures, she would fly right past our desks. People slept in class others never came except for the final. We always got out late. Always in black.

Very scatterbrained. It's sometimes difficult to take notes on her lectures. Don't bother to buy the main book. If you've ever seen her before, her hair perfectly describes her.

in my opinion, she is a very strange lady...she's not would fit my definition of "normal," but then again is there truly a normal? her teaching style is a little unorthadox, but overall, if you pay attention in class and do the work and ask questions, you should succeed in a class …more with her. less

She's completely insane and often wildly off topic, but is overwhelmingly thorough. I can't recall a class where I learned more in my life, and is expert at piecing things together so you get a real sense of how things connect. Don't mention Colin Farrel in there though...Tests refreshingly easy. …more Wrong about Renaissance artists less

Dr. Venzke is out there. She seems so packed full of knowledge that she often forgets a lot. The textbook is, in my opinion, redundant. Her tests are short answers and two essays. Just be sure to go to class and take notes and you'll do fine. Best teacher for the Civ. requirement.

The problem with Dr Venzke is that she takes what should be a very interesting topic and makes it mundane. She has an innate ability for boring the class to sleep.
