This class is very difficult. She does not give very good instructions regarding the material. She also goes over everything really quickly and does not answer the questions fully when asked. Will not take any classes with her again.

She is really bad. I enjoy programming, but she made me hate coming to class. She teaches from the textbook and uses the given slides from it too. She seems not to know much about C and has sort of hard exams. She doesn't know how to teach and if you can avoid her class do it. She doesn't give …more clear instructions for projects or tests. I dislike her less

Only grades in the class were 5 homework's and 3 tests. The homework's were relatively easy, and the book was helpful if I ever got stuck. The lectures were hard to follow and was basically word for word out of the book. The biggest issue with the class was the tests as half the test was material …more we didn't go over. less

She is one difficult professor. The reason I say she is difficult is because how nitpicky with how she grades things. The grading scale that she uses is a bit ridiculous to me, 32.5% for a final exam! The assignments and the lectures don't match up very well on the test. The class was having a …more difficult time. She needs to tone things down. less

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this class was just terrible. Study guides weren't clear at all. Stuff was thrown in at the last minute for the final.

She gives study guide, if you study the study guide, you will pass the class. She is a really nice teach, do not afraid to take her.

I took her for 2 classes. Very unclear, and her notes are in illegible cursive. She keeps going to meetings during her office hours too many times so don't expect to get help. Her tests are challenging, including stuff she never assigned to read. When the class brings it up, she will blame the …more class for not reading through the book on our own. less

The class is a math heavy course, but fairly simply if you actually show up to class or look over the lecture notes. The only problem is she is a hard grader on test and homework.

I don't understand why she's rated so low. She showed step by step how to solve problems in class, and if you do all the homework, the test was made of simpler versions of homework questions. The only problem is, when she gives study questions, you need to do all of them, because there might be one …more different question that will help come test time. less

Read other reviews for 1st time, after taking Discrete. I am shocked that others had such an opposite experience I did. Dr John isn't very humorous and sticks to curriculum rigidly. Sometimes she moves too fast on complex topics to ask questions. She teaches thoroughly and speaks precisely and …more professionally. Well-written exams. Responds to emails. less
