This was a pretty easy class for me, but he wasn't too helpful. His instructions were a little unclear at times and a lot of us had no idea what to do. He doesn't really know how to exercise his authority in class, which makes it like a high school class. If you want to chill and talk in class take …more this one. He's Mormon too, so... less

Great guy. He isn't the typical teacher who has strict rules. He is a newer teacher, so none of his rules are really set in stone. He is understanding and extremely nice. He isnt mean at all. He tries to be as nice as possible. He isnt a yeller either. I think he is trying to figure out what works …more best for him as a teacher. I really enjoyed his clas less

He is one of the worst teachers I have had. He can't give instructions to save his life and he never knows how to explain assignments, which leaves the class not knowing what he wants. He was asked how he was grading a paper once, and he answered "Umm, well..like I just grade on how I …more feel.." Not something i want in a teacher.. less

very unclear, doesnt know how to teach, doesn't grade properly, unsure about almost everything he says, doesn't give grades back so you don't know what your grade is, not a good teacher at all.

he respondes to almost every question with, "well i dont know". How are we supposed to know if you don't, and your the teacher! Does not like confrontation whatsoever, i would not recommend taking him at all.

I took Richard last semester too, and I completely agree with the two people before me. He is so unclear and wishy washy, his tagline is "I don't know." I would not recommend taking him. I honestly don't know why I did twice.

While I'll admit that he's not the greatest teacher, I think some people are over-exaggerating. He does have trouble establishing himself as an authority figure, he's a very slow grader, and he isn't always sure of himself. That being said, I'd say that he's probably average in terms of ease, and …more he is always willing to help you out. less

Mr. Samuelson tries very hard to please the students he is teaching. He is incredibly bad at returning your papers and often is not very clear. However, he does seem to enjoy teaching but doesn't exactly know how to form his words in order to teach the subject. I felt like most the assignments …more we did were usless and would not help us in the futu less

Mr. Samuelson is actually a decent teacher. The prior comments are correct that he is often unclear and "I don't know" is probably his most used phrase. But overall it is an easy class and Mr. Samuelson is always in a good mood and willing to help but is an extremely slow grader.

He has come a long way from looking at his reviews. Always open to new ideas and he is always available before class. Extremely talanted writer and speaker.
