the class is hard but it's suppose to be, but when u have a question about homework or something before hand he doesn't really help that much. Almost like a bad politican when you ask them a question and they eat around it and dont that's what he does. dont get me wrong he's nice n tries to be …more clear he's just not crystal clear less

There is a total of 4 assignments in Dusso's class. Mid-Term Exam, 1 Presentation of Readings, 1 Political Science Paper, Final Exam. He curves the grades. I earned a 62% D- but with the curve I got a B in his class. Attend lecture, fail his exams and you'll still be fine.

Nothing bad about him, but definitely nothing good. He curved the class a lot so it didn't really matter how you did during the semester.

Felt like I learned nothing. During a discussion, he asked a question that no one could answer. Instead of discussing it and "teaching" the topic, he just said, "Hmm. Sounds like that would be a good test question." Felt thrown under the bus on that one. Speaking style is hard …more to understand (ranges from mumbles to talking too fast to understand). less

He expects students to read and think. He's helpful and available if you approach him; he met with me and a group prior to the final exam. Attend every lecture, take notes, and read...you'll get an A.

This class was way harder than it should have been. I really enjoyed my high school Government class and this class was absolutely painful to me. He talks about a single slide for like 30 mins straight. No discussion, very boring, way harder than it needs to be.

This class was harder than it should have been. He gives no homework and your grade is based solely on quizzes and exams (which he blue books the exams) and one major paper. He solely lectures, doesn't open up for discussion and makes the class harder than needed.

Professor offered little help and turned interesting material into a boring and unnecessarily difficult class. No homework is given, and the professor scarcely interacts with the students choosing instead to talk at them. As a freshman political science major, Aaron Dusso left me with a very poor …more impression of the department. less

Not an easy class, but not a repeat of my high school class, which was nice, since I'm paying to learn something new. This is a University after all! I thought his lectures were great. A lot of students skipped class a lot. I'm guessing those are the ones complaining. Since you could easily get …more lost, if you miss class. less

I took Intro to American Politics with Professor Dusso. I thought it would be a repeat of the class I took in high school, but it had nothing to do with it. The class was difficult and he actually made students actually THINK. If you do the readings and attend class you will do fine. He never took …more attendance, but attending class helps A LOT. less
