She is a very nice woman, but the class discussions were forced and uncomfortable.

Pros: She's nice enough, and an easy grader. Cons: You can count on being put on the spot - she will call on you at random, a LOT. Also, she NEVER responds to any type of communication - oncourse messages, emails, phone calls, nothing. Lectures/discussions are dry and tend to drag by very slowly.

Nice lady, she missed quite a few classes which didnt really bother me, easy grader. Not always the most clear so you will need to do a little more studying outside of class but overall decent.

She is such a sweet lady, but the class was so dry. She is very, very boring. Her class was pretty easy for me though.

This class is very easy if you've taken high school spanish. It will be very hard if you have no spanish experience because of how fast it moves. To do well, study the book before every exam, especially the vocab and verbs. Professor Gertz is a rather bland teacher and you spend most of the time …more doing examples, but she's not a bad teacher. less

At first I wasn't thrilled about having Senora Gertz, but as time went on she grew on me. She speaks slowly, she's always cheerful and smiling, and she is always positive no matter if you're rightwrong or interestedbored. Class is straightforward, but she makes you do a lot of work and practice. …more Attendance is very much mandatory. less

The teacher doesn't really teach, but instead shows powerpoints and goes through them really quickly. There's no rubric to be used during presentations; the teacher just sits there and watches and doesn't write anything down... Also, she frequently grades incorrectly. Usually I'll get a B with A …more work on a quiz because she marks correct ones wrong. less

Audrey had very confusing lectures. I did not learn anything from her, I had to read the book and ask some of my friends who speak Spanish to help me understand. She grades extremely tough on quizzes and tests. Participation, homework (which is graded by completion), and the oral presentation are …more what can help keep your grade afloat. less

This class is the easiest A in a Spanish course. However, the lectures are painfully boring, especially for those who are at a high level. The only grades are workbook pages, an oral presentation, and quizzes/tests. The exams aren't hard, she tells you exactly what to study. If you pay attention, …more you'll pass, but good luck staying awake. less
