You will definitely learn from this teacher. She's the most intelligent teacher I've ever taken. If you're determined to do well in the class, she will help you as much as possible. Great teacher!

Pretty much the first thing she said to the class was that she was writing a book and that it was more important than the class. I'm not paying money to be a nuisance. I switched out of that class and would NOT recommend her. She has a bad attitude.

Very difficult 100-level class. Tests are hard and there's a lot of reading. She knows her history though.

This professor is awesome. You cant half a** in her class, if you do it will come out in your grade. Extremely nice, highly recommend her.

Very intelligent, knows her history, decent lecturer, good sense of humor. That said, this class is very demanding (more than my last 300-level history course and my last composition course combined). Her feedback is also very negative and not constructive. I got a good grade in the class but …more dreaded it, which is a shame. I don't recommend her. less

The tests and quizzes are all essay, but she tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on them! So if you look up what's on the study guide > Guaranteed A! She encourages class discussion, which is also very helpful in understanding the information.

Take notes and pay attention or just read your books and you'll be fine. Lots of reading in the class, but she provides you with all of the answers. Quizzes, the midterm and final are all essay. She'll give you a study guide for each a week before. Know the study guide and you'll get an A.

Gives great study guides, but WAY too much work for 100 level course. Gives 75 terms you have to be able to write a paragraph on, but only picks 5 for test. Gives 7 essays, but only picks one on test. Very helpful, but be ready to study hard and long for tests and quizzes.
