Dr. Arciero is a great Professor. She is very clear and willing to help. I have been to her office twice and she is always avaliable for appointments or office hours. She is the best MATH 17100 teacher.

Tests are nothing like quizzes or homework-prepare to study way more for her tests than you have for any other math professor's...overall not a bad teacher, just impossible exams that will kill your average

Very knowledgable about the subject and would do well for upper-level calculus classes. However, for a intro calculus class required by life sciences majors, it was far too difficult. Additionally, Arciero was incredibly condescending in class and was not helpful in office hours. Avoid if possible!

Julia is very funny and approachable. You can tell that she loves teaching. She is always accessible to students outside of class. This was a discrete modeling class and she used a lot of biology examples which was interesting. You will have a group project and the exams are weighted heavily. I …more really enjoyed her class and hope to have her again. less

I found this class difficult, but extremely interesting and useful. Professor Arciero keeps lectures interesting with humor and real life examples. The tests were hard but her review sessions covered the material well. There's a group project, and part of your grade depends on how well the other …more members of your group do. less

She just followed the textbook and did not convey the material clearly

Before taking 231 with Arciero, I had never taken calculus & found the class to be more difficult than expected. The exams were challenging and at a higher caliber level than my friends' in other sections exams. Arciero is a really nice lady and super knowledgable, however, I think her …more teaching/testing sis more appropriate for upper level classes. less

Prof. Arciero was very kind and friendly, but upon entering the class, the entire experience felt as if it was meant for a group who had already been introduced to a good amount of Calculus, and strongly affected those who were new to Calculus in a negative way, such as myself. Overall, not a very …more good experience at all. Tests are also very hard. less

As a student who had no knowledge of calculus whatsoever, her class was extremely difficult for me. Her class is like a class made for students who previously took calculus and know the general concepts about it. Very frustrating to understand her lectures.
