Habitually picking favorite students. Consistently inconsistent in assignment parameters.

Karen is an exceptional teacher! She takes a true intrest in her students and goes all out for us. She keeps you on your toes and gives you a lot of room to experiment and grow as an artist while giving you expert guidance! A+!!!

Great teacher, is very willing to help students out. She seems to be a pretty fair grader as well.

If you work hard at this class and do all that is required, you cannot help but learn. The exercises are extremely helpful; I still do them to keep my skill level up.

If you are good at making stuff up, this is the place for you!!! the assignments are started in class- mind you only have an hour, and then you have to go home and create highlights- where you hope they belong. i find this class to be a step backward at the nicest. period. I WILL NEVER TAKE HER …more CLASS AGAIN! I am actually losing drawing skill because of her. less

Karen (KAH-ren, she pronounces it) is a nice lady. She's a stickler for timeliness and attendance, but she's really encouraging. Sometimes she talks too much about a topic that already seems clear. ("ForeSHORTening...")

Extremely vague, it's difficult to tell exactly what it is she wants from you.

Karen is the Queen of Condescension. Also, at LEAST the court jester of unclear expectations. Essentially what you'll get is her poorly explaining what you're supposed to do, and then her smiling the entire time she makes you feel like an idiot for missing her mark. She's got a soothing vibe tho, …more and she's capable of working with you when u ask. less

Karen is an interesting character. I, personally, enjoyed her letterpress class. I think it might have been because I was excited for the medium we were using. She made it clear what she was expecting from us and I thought the class was kind of easy. I did, however, have to do a lot of work outside …more of class and she was serious about attendance. less
