Terrible. Course work will not prepare you for his tests. The liberal amounts of homework are only the beginning, you will need many more practice problems. DO NOT take his class.

He assumes that you know everything, so if you dont know stuff and you want to ace his class... forget it.

He is higher level instructor and should only teach grad students. He doesn't go in details about the topic. His homeworks and exams are totally different from the lectures.

If you want to learn, forget it. Your best bet is to find someone who knows the material and ask them how to do it.

Ken Yoshida is 100%, the worst professor I have ever had in my life. He does not know how to teach and has absolutely no people skills. His exam and quizzes have no reflection on what he presents in lecture. It is impossible to figure out what he wants from you and he does not tell you the correct …more way to complete homework until after you fail it. less

Arrogant and unprofessional. Does not understand that students do not enter the course with a doctorate in control systems. By far the worst professor I had. He made a class that should have been one of my favorites into a living nightmare. 10/10 would not take from again.

Horrible professor. Quizzes, tests, homeworks have essentially nothing to do with what is taught in the class. Lectures are very hard to follow and powerpoints are useless unless Yoshida walks you through. Treats you like an idiot when you ask for help.

Dr. Yoshida is a great professor who is passionate about his research; however, expect classes to be intensive and require quite a bit of outside work. He is willing to help students outside of class time but you must be decisive with the help you want and when you want to meet. Take the 595s. …more They're much better than 411. less

Yoshidaah... he is quite a character. He is incredibly smart and knows just about everything about anything. Unfortunately doesn't have good people skills. He is pretty intimidating and hard to read, but if you want to do well in his class you will have to get over that. Just ask him directly …more otherwise he will not help. My advice to him be kinder. less

He's kind of introverted and has a reputation for being a mean professor. From my experience, he's introverted but has a dark sense of humor that can come across as rude. Really smart and can answer almost any question you have after gaping at you for not understanding it.
