Tests are extremely lenghty and pretty much suck. PRofessor is good, but tough.

4 tests, all equally difficult. First test is the worst IMHO to weed out the slackers. Be prepared to study, study, study. Having said that, she's a GREAT instructor who knows her stuff. Highly recommended for anyone interested in law enforcement or the psychology behind criminals. Very willing to …more help with problems or questions. less

This professor is challenging and thought provoking. If you need help she is there but she wont hold your hand. She wants her students to think and know the material. She gives you her expectations and yes as adults we are required to meet them or do poorly. This is a great professor no matter what …more you take from her and an even better prof to work for. If you are that lucky, you will do more than you ever thought possible. less

Great class, very interesting. Much more laid back ("easier" is not really the word I'm looking for, but you get the point) than her J201 course. Tests are all multiple choice scantron (sp?). Lots of #'s and statistics to memorize at first, but once you get through that, you'll get to …more the good stuff. less

I took Quinet for SPEAV201 and Indiana Homicides. I definitely agree she is TOUGH (and will not hesitate to let you know if you're failing by your own doing!) but worth taking her class. You learn so much more in comparison to other SPEA professors.

Lot less intense than J201, but still need to write down everything she says because you will see it again. Work hard and know everything she mentions in class and you will get an A.

Not an easy course, but Quinet makes it very interesting. Knowledge of statistics cited in class is important for passing her exams as well as paying close attention to lectures and text. Not a course where you want to miss class (A: Because she keeps the discussion VERY interesting & B: You'll …more suffer come test time)You'll work hard, but gain much. less
