By far my favorite professor. His tests are difficult but there are always bonus points available. He assigns homework that is graded and gives good feedback so you are more prepared for the exams. His lectures are very clear and straightforward. If you have questions he is always willing to …more clarify and he genuinely wants his students to succeed. less

I took AP Calculus in high school and I ended up getting a 4 on the AP exam so I jumped to this class. His accent is so hard to understand and his handwriting can get sloppy and a lot of times he makes mistakes. He also does a lot work in his head. I definitely wouldn't recommend him to the average …more student!!!! less

He is absolutely the worst math teacher I have ever had. He also makes you feel stupid and I end up trying to reteach myself everything and do terribly on the test. And when I mean terrible I mean the average. Which so far has been a C and a D+ !!!! It's too late for me. Save yourselves!!!!!

Yattselev is a great professor and really willing to explain. However, the homework and examples don't really relate to tests. The tests are mostly proofs to understand concepts that we barely went over. Does not curve! All points which is hard to achieve since his tests and class are so hard. 200 …more points total, 60 final, 60/ 3 tests, rest homework less

I have regretted everyday of this semester because I choose this teacher for my Calculus II class. However, the long, torturous nightmare is finally over. Today was my final. The highest test grade I got was a C. The only reason I didn't totally bomb the class was because of the homework. If you …more can avoid it, take a different teacher. less

Dr. Yattselev is a great teacher teaching a difficult course. The averages were low on tests, however this was mainly due to people who never came to class. Lectures were very clear and specific, practice problems were very helpful (with homework being much harder than the tests), and there was …more extra credit opportunity on every. single. thing. less

I took him for Linear Algebra (351) and he was a pretty good lecturer. He explained things well, but you have to tell him to explain better/more concise if you aren't getting it. He grades the homework out of 8 pts. when you can actually get 10 pts, so you end up getting extra credit which helps …more since his tests are more challenging. Still Recommend less

You have to show up to lecture and take notes, but all his assignments and tests have tons of extra credit on them. 20% EC on Hw's and Tests so you can miss an entire problem and still get a 100% on a test. There is a lot of homework but if you do it, it teaches you all the test material.

Dont believe his words, he would tell you to study and everything would come from it and at the end he will bring things out of nowhere. Nothing good about him.
