Excellent teacher. He teaches grammar and speaks it perfectly. His tests are straight out of the book and he takes things from previous tests and puts it on the new ones. Show up to class and expect to learn German.

I came to Bellarmine through Metroversity to take a class with David Domine since I had heard so much about him. He makes learning enjoyable. Very well organized. Very understanding. Very well traveled. Very open-minded and lots of real world experiences. Wants his students to suceed and does …more everything possible to make it happen. I learned tons! less

I took two semesters of Spanish translation and they were the best classes I ever had. Not only did I find out how much I did not know about translation, I went on to study abroad because of his encouragement. My perspective of the world has changed as a result. I would love to take a class with …more him again. He is also an accomplished writer. less

Very good professor. He really teaches German, but he expects a lot from you. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities, too!

Was not a fan. He answered your questions as if you were idiotic, making you not want to ask anything. Lots of work, especially outside of class, almost every day. Most of class was going over homework. Goes extremely quick, not to mention he talks quickly. Hard to translate what he says. Depends …more on your interest level with the Spanish language. less

Very condescending when students were visibly struggling. I learned nothing from him - only learned from the book and previous experience in high school.

Domine focused on online work almost more than in class work. He also expected you to know everything after maybe talking about it for a few short minutes. He did not think highly of his students if they did not understand what was going on.

I took him for an IDC called Food Writing. We had assignments due for almost every class. Hard to keep up with when everything is due because he usually will change the due date. Very rude and does not like it when we ask questions. Seems to treat us like we are freshmen in high school.

Had IDC 301: The World on a Plate. Showed us pictures from his Facebook and would briefly talk about a certain food and then expected you to know the capitals of Africa (or whichever region you were supposed to be studying) and the foods by the next class period or two. So basically the internet is …more your best friend for this class. less

Domine was definitely eager to prove that he spoke Spanish and has a dry personality. The class almost always begins with bad latino music. Professor was very anal about the use of the book and there were tons of homework assignments. You do not have the option to opt out of group work, and the …more professor doesn't typically grade pronunciation. less
