We don't use the textbook in class. It is only used to do his notecards which are required for the semester. He requires his students to read chapters 10-19 and write 1 notecard for each chapter with random questions or observations. All of the notecards count for 15 points.

He lectures every class the whole class. His tests are over 100 questions FILL IN THE BLANK. Its over 15 pages of notes each class so you basically have to memorize everything. This class was terrible and his lectures were not that interesting so I didn't learn anything. If you want to pass you …more better be good at memorizing every word he says. less

If you like history, you'll like the class. He lectures all class, every class. Tests involve a lot of memorization from the lecture, they are fill in the blank. The book is used when making notecards for each chapter (which equals a test grade).

Dr. Lega is a nice guy, and he clearly knows his history. This class was very hard, though, because his lectures didn't come from the book, which meant the only way to study was to read through pages and pages of notes from class. If you plan on skipping class a lot, make sure to get notes from …more someone else or else you'll fail no doubt. less

Dr. Lega is my favorite college professor so far. He's funny. His love for history and his students is evident in every class and how he handles each of his pupils. Everyone that loves something has a tendency to ramble, but this man is a fantastic storyteller which is essential to a good history …more class. I can't stress how much i enjoy this class. less

He lectures every time in class, He is a good teacher and class is very easy as long as you go and take notes. You have "quizzes" which consist of 100+ questions on them, KEEP in mind he is a very easy grader and gives half credit on most questions. Quizzes are exactly what he says in lecture so as …more long as you attend class and take good notes, good less

This professor knows his history super well. He lectures every class and you better take good notes because his tests come straight from his lectures. There are only three tests with over 100 questions, but he usually curves them. Just show up and take good notes and study a week in advance of the …more test and you should be good. Best history professor less

He mostly stands in front of the class and talks. I am not that great with history so it wasn't the best when trying to learn. I found myself having to watch YouTube videos to teach myself. He is funny though and very laid back. No homework, just reading from the text and writing on a note card. …more You will pass though, no worries. less

Dr. Lega's class is almost completely lecture based. However, his passion for history and his storytelling ability make the lectures interesting and easy to understand. Tests are never multiple choice/almost completely fill in the blank, so be prepared for that. He's very nice and level-headed. …more Discussion days the day after tests are fun. less
