Anderson was a great professor but he's test are hard and you will need to study. I took the course thinking it would be an easy A and it certainly wasn't. He does do 2 projects that will boast your grade if your test average isn't very high. He was still very interesting to listen to and I got a …more lot out of his lectures. less

Page is a really smart and funny guy. This class is basically only lectures but Page makes them interesting; he doesn't put the power points online so take notes. READ THE TEXTBOOK if you don't it'll make the tests so much harder. You have 4 tests, a paper, and a poster project; he's an easy …more grader. Attendance is mandatory. less

Mr. Page is the COOLEST! He connects so well with you and makes you so passionate about music. He shows you the side of music you never really knew. He's a very kind grader when it comes to projects and papers. His schedule is laid out clearly but he does take attendance. He's basically Jack Black …more from School of Rock and he's very easy on the eyes. less

Andy is such a cool guy and is super passionate. I took his class my freshman year and it was the only one I was ever excited to go to. He plays music in class and promotes local shows. Tests are fairly simple if you read the textbook, or really if you just have prior knowledge about the area of …more music. (He's also super handsome so there's that.) less

Three tests, a paper and group project. Tests were sometimes hard and involved musical aspects which were hard as a non musically gifted person. Super interesting class though and Andy is pretty cool. Worth taking this class but make sure to study for tests!!

Page is awesome! He's super passionate about anything pertaining to music and he really cares about his students. The tests are a little hard but nothing crazy. There is also a paper and a group project, but he isn't a tough grader. If you know nothing about music but want to learn he is a great …more professor. Nothing bad to say about him. less

Andy was the worst teacher I have had at App State so far. He admitted that all of his tests were pretty hard at the beginning of the semester, and most everyone in the class made C's and low B's on the test. Wouldn't recommend him at all for this class, it's a gen ed class and he treats it like …more his life depends on it. less

Page is just a cool guy in general, and even if you are terrible at music like me, he still makes class pretty interesting. The tests are actually more difficult than I thought they would be, but if you read the textbook you should be fine. This was a an awesome gen ed class.

This is seriously the greatest class I've ever taken. For a guy like me who loves Metal music, this class was a breeze. Even if you don't listen to much metal, your homework is literally to listen to music every week. You have the occasional album review, but it's only 2 pages. Andy shares so many …more of his awesome experiences, and he's a cool dude. less
