I really enjoyed her class. There is a lot of reading, but you learn a about Public History through them. She is very excited about Public History, which makes you get excited about it. Not necessarily a hard class, but you do have to put some work into the class to get a desirable grade.

Not the easiest class, but i feel like she teaches it well. There are plenty of quizzes along with a couple test, mid-term and a final.

Dr. Burns is great. Her enthusiasm about Public History is contagious, and I really enjoyed the way she related everything in class to experiences that were relevant to her students. She had a lot of great advice to offer, and was willing to help her students in any way she could.

she is a good teacher, the quizzes will be ALOT of memorization. gives a study guide before each quiz, as long as you look every ALL the powerpoints and memorize everything about events or people on the study guide, you will probably make an a or b. has a few essays but nothing too hard. very …more nice teacher. less

Favorite class all semester! She made me want to minor in History now. She made the class VERY interesting. Great professor. Not an easy A though. You have to be determined to work hard and do well. You can't slack off. Coming to class isn't mandatory, but recommended just because it'll make the …more class material more interesting. less

She is SO hard. She uses 50-60 powerpoint slides EVERY class and goes from 1 to another every 30 seconds, which gives you enough time to take 1/2 the notes she gives. I probably took 1 slide's worth of notes for every 3 she went through. She also offers like NO extra credit and the extra she does …more offer is like 7 questions for 3 points! She SUCKS!!! less

goes through powerpoints way too fast!! tests are very hard-she will send a study guide with like 30 terms and will only choose 5 for the test. for the terms you hav eto know: what, what, where, why and when for ALL of them and if your not specific, you will not get the points. you have to really …more understand the material! less
