Mr. Richter is retired but brought back this year to fill an empty spot. His class is awful. He is not a good speaker, nor is he especially helpful. All tests are open book. Attendance not mandatory. I skipped all semester, made an A.

He taught at chapel hill and really know what he is talking about. I don't understand why he got that bad rating. He is really nice and test are easy. He just wants you to participate and if you get to know him he is a great guy. Hey we watch south park for our final exam!!!

He is very liberal and is a big activist. He is really laid back. All examinations are open book and open note. The class is an easy A. He just wants people to read and participate but he doesn't force you to read so no one really does. He was a nice guy I would take him if you want an A.

Very laid back and not at all demanding. An easy A if you show up and put the slightest effort into participation. he is a huge liberal, but if you keep an open mind to new ideas and ways of thinking (thats actually the point of philosophy) you'll be fine. genuinely nice guy.

Absolutely annoying. Speaks everything from a factual point of view, allows no one to debate with him. Even when I agreed with him he still was so biased it made me embarrassed to admit it. Still, maybe the easiest class I will ever take. The slightest amount of effort will get an easy A.

very easy, is interested in philosophy and being a philosopher, attendance is supposedly mandatory but I don't think he actually cares. just read a few articles about black philosophers and women philosophers and take open book open note tests that he gives you most of the answers ahead of time

Extreme liberal. Grades his tests way too hard. Classes will make you very mad if you have any morals what so ever. Would def. take someone else

He is very interested in the subject matter. His lectures can be boring at times but he really just wants you to come to class and pay attention to what he has to say. Tests are extremely easy and he lets you use your books and notes. I really enjoyed this class and recommend it if you are …more interested in philosophy less

Bring something to do during class. -.- Super boring. I played bubble shooter or read the entire class every time. Quizzes/tests are open book/open note. Two easy papers. If you don't make an A in this class you must be trying to fail. And he is super liberal.
