He was awesome. Fall 2014 was his first semester here and he did a lot to help all of us! I would love to take another one of his classes. He met with me to help me after I struggled on the first test and we all did much better on the second. If he is one of your options, definitely take him. He …more makes you work, but you respect him so it is worth it less

He is such a genuinely nice guy! You have reading 99.9% of the time, but usually it's pretty interesting if you're interested on the subject. This was easily my favorite class this semester, and I hope I can have another class with him again!

Dan is a great professor and he really knows his stuff. His tests can be rather difficult because there are two religions on one test, but he is there for you if you need clarification. You have to read the passages from the books, don't get behind on that. He is hilarious and makes references to …more tv shows and movies. He is also pretty cute, no lie. less

Professor Conkle obviously enjoys his job and genuinely cares for all his students. He gives great feedback on quizzestests and is very thoughtful and understanding when a student has issues with a particular subject or lecture. His tests are sort of difficult, but gives partial credit. He is also …more really attractive which helps keep your attention! less

He is a really nice guy and cares about his students, however it is a pretty difficult class for gen ed. If you are interested in this subject and do not mind reading a lot, the this is a good class for you.

Class is really interesting even though it sticks to only the (historical) factsmyths of religion rather than discussing more of the philosophy sides. This class is somehow harder than calculus and physics.

Conkle is super funny and tries to make the class as best he can. He uses a lot of Catholic examples, so if you aren't familiar with Christianity it can be a bit difficult. He always tries to help out, and gives really good feedback on tests and papers.

Dan is dedicated and knowledgable. Above all us, he is fair in his grading and encourages students to learn the material. If you listen in class, do the reading before tests and do the extra credit you will do well.
