I like professor Platt. He's a pretty witty guy, however his quizzes are very difficult if you do not read the text. You take quizzes before you cover the material in a lecture so sometimes it's a litlte confusing. You have a few papers and he doesn't grade that hard. All in all I liked him.

Lots of quizzes prior to the lecture which makes them difficult. A few papers but they're not graded to harsh. He's a witty guy and I enjoyed the class except for the 8:30 part. Take him if you can.

Lots of 5 question quizzes on the readings. They're fairly difficult. Other than that, not a bad class. Lectures can be a bit boring (teaches off powerpoint). Focuses HEAVILY on class participation, so you better speak up during class. Only tests are midterm and a non cumulative final which he …more gives a solid review for. 2 papers, not graded harshly. less

Pretty boring class, very dry. Textbook reading is mandatory, will give short pop quizzes somewhat often on the readings. He is a nice guy though, and likes to crack silly jokes to lighten the mood. Only a handful of assignments/tests, so make sure you do well on them!

Daniel is a pretty decent guy. Fairly easy class if you go and participate in class and discussion. He even tells you that the class is dry so he is on your side. MAKE SURE YOU READ!!!

Simply put...this is a boring class and Daniel does his best to make it interesting. I was very annoyed that he never made the notes available until the week before mid term and final exams. He is anice guy and an good teacher. He warns you that the book is a pain to read......and it is.

Professor Platt is awesome! I had an 8 a.m. with him (i hate morning classes) but all his classes consisted of was power points (which are online), papers, one group project, and "pop" quizzes which are easy if you pay attention. No textbook reading. Midterm/final on power points only. He is …more relaxed, nice, and answers email fairly quickly. less

His class is based pretty much on power points and it is very, very dry. There are a couple of in-class quizzes, which are pretty simple, and group projects. He grades pretty fairly. The mid-term and final are based on the power points, which he tells you what is on them prior to the date. However …more he is a tad condescending. Overall, not a bad class less

Pretty simple course. Some of his assignments, such as a group research paper, where five people were expected to write a paper together, were unreasonable. He is a nice guy but not super engaging.

I really like him as a person. This class is boring and he acknowledges that but tries his hardest to make it interesting. Genuinely cares about his job, his field, and his students. Attendance is taken randomly. Quizzes are basically just BS. VERY minimal reading. Powerpoints are all posted …more online. Assignments are a little difficult but do-able less
