The worst professor I've had. Class averages for all the tests were in the low 60s and the way he 'curves' it is by giving you ANOTHER quiz that you have to get a 100 on to get all the points. He is completely unclear and reads straight off the slides. Tests are RIDICULOUSLY difficult and the …more questions are super in depth. Super hard class. less

The class average for each of 4 exams was in the 60's and they aren't curved- you're given a chance to earn back some points (3 to 8) by taking a quiz but that rarely helps because it's the same questions as the test. Lectures straight from a powerpoint and does not explain complex material at all. …more Tests are terrifyingly difficult to passstudy for less

I only had Seals for the cell bio lab. He is a harsh grader but he has to be. Idk why everyone is expecting these bio classes to be easy. You do have to try and put a lot of effort into it. If you talk to him and go to his office, he gives great advice and is easy to talk to! Give it your all and …more you will get an A. less

I only had Dr. Seals for cell biology lab but I would sign up for another one of his classes in a heart beat. He is an excellent professor, very willing to help and responds to e-mails almost immediately. He does grade pretty tough but that only helps your scientific writing in the long run. …more Awesome professor! less

Let me start by saying Dr. Seals is a very helpful professor. He is always there for you if you have any questions at all. However, he makes his tests super difficult so you need to know the information like the back of your hand. Seals also gives out a lot of free points to bring your grade up so …more make sure to take those opportunities! less

He is a very good teacher, but you have to put forth the effort and let him know when you need help. I recommend office hours if you start to really have trouble in the class. I also took cancer biology with him.

I took Dr. Seals over the summer, and I really enjoyed his class. He's really passionate about the material and brings in examples from his research into cancer cells, which makes things more interesting. If you show up, take notes, and study effectively, an A is not hard in this class. He's a …more little awkward at times but a good professor overall. less

He's a very nice man who does his absolute best to teach the material. Also he sounds like the one character off of South Park "ummm Kay?" and that's funny for the first week or so and then it becomes easier to focus on the material. Offers supplemental exams after the fact so you can improve bad …more test grades. There is a paper due at the end though. less

Okay teacher, but his tests are vague and annoying. Asks a lot of "which one of these is NOT the best choice" questions so its easy to trip up (also they're all right but which one is the most right). Hard to follow his lectures if you space out for a minute. Quiz's online boost your …more grade but all the test averages are around a D less

Seals knows what he is talking about but does not know how to break it down very well. His tests are very hard and the class average is normally a D. Going to office hours helps but the tests are going to be very hard no matter what. I would recommend this professor only if you have a good grasp of …more bio going into this class. less
