smart woman but puts to much time into reading other books and you dont see the overall cultural affects. You just focus on certain ones. Attend class

seminar style, small class. One of the best! She treats you with respect of a peer and is very open to ANY suggestion, be it course material or structure, ect. Class requires alot of out-of-the-box thinking- if thats your thing, take it!

Not very personable, but offers as much help as you need. Very clear and structured. Keep up with the reading, there is a lot and if you get behind its hard to catch up. Tests are fair, but difficult. Attending class will benefit you greatly. Material is often dense, and not always interesting.

The best professor I've had...wish I could take more classes with her. The readings are always interesting and informative. Truely wants you to learn...the best anthropology professor on this campus. She is the real deal! Don't let her seriousness scare you...she is great!

She knows her stuff and likes to go in depth. Points out details that we often don't see or catch. Very cool once you get to know her.

This class was the worst!!! It is by far the hardest and most boring class I have ever taken at App! I took it thinking it would be an easy A... definately was not! She was very helpful at first but by the end of the semester she was really rude. I wouldn't recommend taking her!

Don't take this class unless you have time for A LOT of reading. We read about 4 300-page books during the semester. Her tests are kind of difficult because you have to give "deep thinking" on the essays, and I am still unclear as what she wants on those. Take someone else if you have …more the chance. less
