She's really willing to help outside of class, and she's super interested in the subject. She's also pretty cheerful, which makes her class perfect at the end of the day.

Took for Biological Anthropology. Made me really interested in the field and explained material nicely. Tests can be difficult as there is a lot of material to go over.

Dr. Schug is a nice energetic professor. One time she lashed out a burp during her lecture. Tests are pretty difficult, and goes over a large amount of material for each one. She is willing to help, but all I have to say is you better have a large brain capacity if you take her.

WARNING: easy material, but tests are hard due to testable material unclear! Tests have errors, material not covered, slow graded, multi-choice ans. doesn't remember covered info. poor lecturer. 1/2 lectures consist of documentarys w/ no lectr. A vry stressful class. NO LAPTOPS(front)!she's very …more defensive, can be condescending, but nice underneath. less

Dr. Schug is hilarious, but her tests kicked my butt. Her lectures are clear, but it's hard to know what to study. Her journals and the labs were somewhat easier, although still pretty tough.

For the love of all things good, DO NOT TAKE HER. Unless, of course, you're extremely good at learning from the book. She acts like the book is the teacher even though at the beginning she said it was SUPPLEMENTAL. Doesn't cover much in lecture, tests are difficult even with studying; she's …more impossible. Extremely smart, does NOT know how to teach. less

Dr. Schug is SO smart, but very hard to follow, unless you already have a background in Biology or some other skeletal interests. She teaches this class like a 3000 or 4000 class, even though it's supposed to be introductory. She's obviously very knowledgeable, though. Her tests are insanely …more difficult. less

I don't know why Dr. Schug has so many negative reviews. This is college, people. It isn't going to be a cake walk. Read the chapters, write the essays, and study and you'll be just fine. You may even like her like I did! Such a smart woman; passionate about her work! :)

Dr. Schug is the most lackluster professor I've ever taken at this school. She seemed to not care about the success of her students at all. When I met with her during her office times, she was very condescending and would always act like she had better things to do. Took months to get grades back …more on assignments. I tell everyone I know to avoid her. less

She is an awesome professor, but gets a bad rep from non anthro majors. She's actually a really great prof. Don't get me wrong, she is extremely hard and her classes make you want to cry, but she's a helpful person. You have to ask for help or for the ppts to be uploaded on asulearn or she doesn't …more know anyone needs help. Extremely smart. less
