Sweetest old lady, loves French, but is hard to understand sometimes. She's a little hard of hearing, so she'll answer the wrong question, but if you're patient, she's helpful. Asks questions and answers them herself.

This is the sweetest old lady in the entire world. She is very helpful, a little difficult to understand but she is so pleasant(and calls her students "love"). The class is somewhat hard, just make sure to study.

She's really really sweet, but I don't think I understood one word in her class. I got confused and lost and really had a hard time in there despite how much I studied.

SUCH a horrible teacher. Extremely hard to understand and awful at explaining tough concepts: she just breezes past all of the really important aspects. After an entire semester in her class, the only thing I learned was to never take her again.

She is, as my advisor called her, a fossil. I didn't come to college for sweet and nice profs but profs who would teach me something. Rothschild does not teach or explain any concepts (old and new) and her teaching consists of doing excercises out of the book. What I've learned I taught myself.

Wow, I had Madame Rothschild in 94-96. I really didn't think of her as a "little old lady." I guess 10 years will do that to you. Anyway, very very strict grader. I bombed pretty bad in 1020 and 1040, only to conquer 1050 after spending a few weeks in France. So, yeah, it helps to …more study 10+ hrs per week and travel abroad. :) less

Madame Rothschild is an extremely intellegent woman. You will find yourself captivated by her stories. Her class can be difficult and you really have to study for her tests but you shouldn't expect anything less in college. If you are having trouble in her class it is easy to talk to her in …more person, email or by phone (even if she is at home). less

She's old ... very old. And she doesn't really explain the material. She expects you to know all of the material before you enter the class. Her tests are easier if you just make sure to watch the videos before hand and follow her study guides exactly as most of the questions come straight from …more the book/workbook. less

I took a few of her classes between '96 and '00. I have a great deal of respect for her. I can see where she would be considered a hard teacher to entitlement minded college students who want their education handed to them on a silver platter. You have to study in her clas period. Study and …more pass. Complain and fail. less
