Fairly easy as long and you just take notes and pay attention. You have a lot of group assignments (which is how she takes attendance here and there)and an online midterm and a final (which is the majority of your grade). She's very nice and easy to work with. Taking her again next semester for her …more criminology class less

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Doesn't teach anything and constantly complains about the class. Doesn't answer any questions and will lecture the class about not doing the assigned readings/not knowing the syllabus by heart. The readings aren't useful and will never come up again in class. I haven't learned 1 …more thing all semester. I would never take her again. less

Don't like group work? Then this is not the class for you. Basically every assignment is done in an assigned group, along with a group book report at the end. Her only tests are the midterm and final, which are easy as long as you study and pay attention. Show up for lectures because she won't post …more them afterwards. STUDY THE THEORIES!!!! less

Every assignment is group work, so if you don't like groups, don't take this class. Dr. Thames is very nice and very passionate about her field, and she's very open to all opinions. There are only two tests--the midterm and final--and they're pretty clear cut as long as you study. Final project is …more a group debate--they're fun if you're prepared. less

Fantastic professor, easy A if you pay attention and do the group work. She technically takes attendance, but you won't want to miss her class anyway so it's no issue.

Great professor! If you go to class and pay attention, you'll do well on exams. The final was a presentation on a book. Seems scary at first but its really simple unless you're insanely scared of presenting

You can tell that Professor Thames is very passionate about sociology and how it ties with criminal justice. Her lectures are not boring for this reason, and the readings and videos she assigns are all worthwhile and interesting. Tests and group projects are graded fairly. Hard not to succeed in …more her class. less
