She picks favorites in the class. if you're not the fav then you are SOL. Here powerpoints are scattered and hard to follow. Sometimes she can be moody. Avoid if possible, if you can't avoid, suck up to her!

If you get the opportunity to have a class with Dr. Siefferman, go for it. She's awesome. She is brilliant, and seriously well-respected in her field, but she's also really down to earth. Show just a little interest in the subject matter, and a little respect, and she's super-willing to help. …more KNOW THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD- it's on every test. less

Dr. Siefferman goes out of her way to make her class accessible to all of her students. She really wants her students to succeed. If you are putting forth the effort and still need help I know she would be happy to assistance you. She is a sweet and very entertaining instructor.

Very tough professor. Her exams go into minute detail & she's very critical on presentations & papers. But her class is worth it if you're serious about going into science. All my bio classes before this one hardly prepared me at all for the real world of science, her class changed that. She's …more helpful & a GREAT prof to do research with as well. less

I had lynn for ecology and she is the most amazing professor I have ever had. I never learned more in a bio class than in hers. She teaches you how to think/ask questions in ecology. Literally going to grad school for ecology because of her class! very hard but extremely worthwhile if you care …more about your major. less

Occasionally rude and unprofessional. She had just received tenure and her attitude was rather sarcastic when it came to students' comprehension of concepts. Teaching an Ecology course through the strict lens of a biologist. Not accepting to critical discussion. Questions regarding ecological …more concepts were often answered with an "IDK". less

Let's just say her class was the final straw for me being a Biology major. She was pretty rude and went too fast to make sense with anything. Expects you to know concepts but didn't seem to focus on concepts as much as she taught a wide variety of stuff. Maybe it was the fact that I wanted to …more switch majors, but I didn't care for her or the class. less
