Incredible class! This man is one of the smartest people I've ever met. Take his class, and make time to go to his office and talk 1-on-1. Be ready to think!!

I can't argue with his IQ, or his writting, or the stuff he will have you read. However, I would like to make this statement. The man is the most arrogant, stuck-up, prick ever. He refuses to answer any question in class that has the potential to trip him up. He always loves to attack …more hierarchy and power, inless it is his own power/position. less

Dr. Carp is a genius... and maybe too smart for his own good. For "World Religions and Material Culture" it was his first time teaching the class and he still had some kinks to work out. One may get confused during his lectures--so you have to put in the time outside of class. Don't …more expect an easy grade. less

knows everything you could ever want to know about this subject but is almost too smart for his own good. answers to questions you ask him take no less than 20 minutes...ever. the study guides for the tests are ridiculous and are about 7 pages long. he does offer extra credit though. very in depth …more with ALL religions. less

Dr. Carp is very knowledgable -- too knowledgable. He teaches class as though all of his students were also experts in his field of study, and has no idea how to hold the attention of a classroom full of people. You read a lot, but when he talks about readings in class, he will replace the facts …more in the readings with his opinions and then test you less

He isn't easy, but college isn't about that. His classes are super-interesting if you do the work, and he's willing to work with students if things are difficult.
