dr. mann is a sweet guy, but his class is SO boring! students try to argue with him and ask dumb questions just to pass the time. the tests are easy if you take notes or at least read the textbook. however, i feel like i haven't really learned anything from this class.

mann is one of those teachers that makes you hate the subject. his lectures are impossible to follow. test questions are intented to make you "think" but youll spend more time trying to guess where hes coming from.he got a little better when people were failing but dont take this class

I sincerely hope this man has realized by now that teaching just isn't his thing. His lectures are bone dry and I think he is intimidated by a full classroom. This causes him to mumble, stutter and be overtly incoherent. This subject is mostly common sense, but this man is a very poor communicator, …more making it harder than it has to be less

I really liked this class. It was a little boring at times, and it was easy for him to get off topic. He's pretty funny too. The tests and quizzes are fairly easy though, if you've read the material and taken notes.

Dr. Mann is extremely, extremely knowledgeable on the subject of Sociology, and I think that's what makes his class sort of hard to follow sometimes. He doesn't know how to bring it down to the level of someone who isn't a sociologist. Read the text book, and do your best on taking notes and you …more should be fine. less

I thought this class was going to be interesting but its basically common sense. Its pretty easy, however you have to beable to write your notes in your own words because Mann scribbles and uses a lot of diagrams that don't make sense. No homework, 4 tests and 1 paper.

He fails epically at connecting with the class. His writing is horrible and he can't clearly explain get his point across or directly answer a question.

Dr. Mann is ridiculous. He doesn't make any sense, draws ridiculous and incomprehensible diagrams on the board, and doesn't allow for any opinions. Class is all lecture and painfully boring and hard to understand. He doesn't let you ask questions either, and if for some reason he does, his answer …more just leaves you more confused. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLAS less

Nice and knowledgeable. Dull. Horrible handwriting. Had to go through one of his handouts and rewrite everything. Repeats explanations over and over. Lots of room to input opinion into discussion. Don't regret taking this class, but don't particularly enjoy it.
