lots of notes but study guides are identical from notes..test are 40 mc and a short answer thats not hard...10 random easy easy quizzes that count 1 whole point on your final grade, so come to class...not too bad. I hate science and left with a B-

She was a very nice lady... helpful and all that but if you miss classes youre in trouble. gives quizzes based on notes about every other class so if you miss any classes... good luck. her tests were nearly impossible too. i had to end up dropping so i didnt fail.

very helpful. lots of extra credit opportunities. a lot of online homework assignments and some (un-announced) in-class assignments. in total the assignments are worth more than the exam. tests are kind of hard, but there's only 1 and the final. part of the tests are collaborative with groups.

She is really smart and knows what she's talking about but she doesn't really know how to teach. She writes notes on the Smartboard so it takes forever for her to lecture because she hand-writes everything. Kinda scatterbrained. Expects all of us to be geologists when most of us are just trying to …more fulfill a science requirement. less

I had her for lab. It's easy to get all the credit for just showing up to the lab and doing the work. All group work. No quizzes or anything. Final is hard though, make sure you study and know how to do everything you learn in lab. Not a bad teacher though. Everything up until the final is …more easy in Lab. less

History of Coal. She gave a few wrong facts, (Coal is created in 2 million years). She fills this class that could be interesting with so many little quizes and stupid assignments you have to spend atleast 2 hours outside of class before each class period. The class is very unorganized, and she …more mainly argues with the other teacher tom hansell. less

I took her for the lab and she is awesome. She makes it really easy to do well in the class. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand everything if you ask for help. She knows her stuff! I plan on taking her again for more of my classes. I highly recommend her whether you are …more interested in Geology or not. less

Hard class, great teacher. Grades easy if you come to class every day and just make an effort.

Great teacher. Exams were a little confusing. She had some things on the exams that we NEVER talked about in class, but you could fix that with a little study. Might be boring if you are not a Geology major. But i am. She is also kind of cute. Which made the class a little better as well.
