So, I graduated and am now in a professional medical program and I can say I learned more and was taught better by Dr. Collier than what I am doing now. He is phenomenal but you realize this even more after you graduate

Would not recommend, in class, he asks questions and the students guess until someone gets close to the answer. Lectures, assignments, tests, and grading rubrics are disorganized and nothing is scheduled, tests happen randomly. Lectures are confusing as material is not conveyed clearly; you have …more to teach yourself for the 2-4 question tests. less

Dr. Collier was great in lecture. He gives real world examples that help students understand the material. However, I felt like the 2 tests were in a totally different language. I did well answering questions in class but tests were very difficult. He gives a little extra credit (DO IT). Grade is …more out of 400 pts. test(100)+test(100)+final(200) less

Dr. Collier should not be a teacher. In class he would go off on completely unrelated tangents that would be no help for the tests. Then when it comes to test time, he expects way more and you are tested on nothing you learned in class. Very unorganized. I thought this would be a very interesting …more class, but it wasn't. Avoid him at all cost. less

Listen, Collier is the best prof in the dept. His classes are interesting and he makes students think don't whine because you don't go to class

Dr. Collier does a great job teaching Intro to ES. He makes the material very interesting and is great at introducing subject matter from each of the classes you'll take in exercise science (i.e. exercise physiology, physiological assessment). He also welcomes questions. Just be prepared for him to …more expect you to answer questions in class. less

Although attendance is not mandatory, go to the lectures! Even if there is only a guest speaker, you always learn something in that class and gain new insight. His lectures sometimes go off topic but are still very educational. Just look at the power points and you should ace the tests. He does …more give weird assignments sometimes though. less

Dr. Collier's class is a good one, but it is extremely lecture heavy. The tests are hard to study for, as they ask specific questions about general concepts. Good class, Collier keeps it interesting, but don't let all the material overwhelm you before a test.

The class itself is very boring. There are guest speakers at least once a week. He goes off topic so you have no idea what is going to be the tests and final. So you basically have to learn yourself. Go to class and don't skip, even though it is very easy to.
