She's a good teacher, gets the material out and answers any question you might have, big work load, but no essays or anything indepth, mostly due to the fact it's a hard language, but she's fair. If you miss a class you miss a lot, so try to go to class

Teaches the class well; if you show up you will do well... answers EVERY question you have, you just have to participate

Takahashi is so completely bad compared to Fujimoto who I had the first to semesters. She doesn't know English and she just doesn't seem to be personable.

Quite a change from fujimoto sensei. Her style is very different & her english is not as good. She did seem to be a little more personable in Jnp 4..like she was more comfortable. The pluses: She went over some more cultural aspects & we did some caligraphy which was fun.

Ive never had fujimotot and the only flaw I can see in takahashi is that she dosent answer your questions. The class is not that hard but she sometimes fails at being clear. but if she sees that you are putting effort into your work, she tends to give good grades.

I loved takahashi. I thought she did great, and yes she can be hard to understand because english is not her first language. But once you get used to the accent it all works...

I'm actually surprised by some of the negative comments. I think she is more than fair w/her grading. I also like how she teaches you about Japanese culture.

She is hard to understand, and doesn't help varry much. THe excuse you don't need to knew that yet should never be used in a college setting, if any setting at all. SHe also never answers questuns. I should have done much worse in that calss then I did, much worse.
