I don't know where Dr. Bertrand came up with his curriculum from. He assigns 2 quizzesweek; one over a 1-2hr video and another over one chapter. What makes me question his curriculum so much is not only the amount of work, but the almost-insignificant effect each hour we put into studying for his …more class has on our grades, which he fails to realize. less

Video quiz every Monday. Reading Quiz every Wednesday. The videos are up to 2 hours long. You have to read a whole chapter, if you don't read you wont pass. It was really informative but too much work for a nursing major.

Dr. Bertrand is an awesome, teacher, passionate about history, and will go above and beyond to help you. Expect a lot of work. Some students complain because of the work load, but this is college, get over it. Expect a quizz every class period, but the tests are made up of the quizzes. No …more surprises. Would definitely take again. less

I loved him. I passed with a B but I worked for it. He really cares for his students. He's very passionate about history and can go on for days but he helps you get a clear understanding. He gives extra credit! Every class there are quizzes but quizzes are better than a lot of test. I would …more recommend him! less

This was the worst class I have ever taken EVER! I would NOT recommend him at all. All he does is talk talk talk. Their is not one class where he will not talk the entire time. Then he assigns 2 hour long video quizzes and the questions on the quiz are irrelevant to the video. He pretty much makes …more this course the hardest he can make it. less

Every time you walk into class he will give out a quiz 1 on a video & another on a chapter.. must watch video & read chapters to pass test. You can't leave class if you do you get any F on the quiz you took that day. All of his quizzes are formatted the same, save all quizzes for exam. A discussion …more log will be giving every weekend. less

He makes the lectures interesting, and gives lots of reading quizzes to help you drop your bad grades. He also is always available to reach via email. I …more have nothing buy good things to say about him! less
