dr. barnes is a kind, bumbling man who makes corny jokes. as a math teacher, he is not too hard if you pay attention. he will help you if you ask him.

he probably has been teaching since they invented school..he is a very smart individual but he does not know how to teach. he just does problems on the board so fast that no one knows what is going on. he grades hw and gives hard tests that every1 fails although he gives a lot of extra credit …more attempts less

Dr. Barnes was very unhelpful when I approached him for help on more than one occasion. He doesn't teach, just does random problems on the board as if everyone already knew the subject matter. You need to be very proactive with asking questions during class.

Dr. Barnes' class was extremely difficult, and it didn't help that he was monotonous and did random problems on the board without explaining the concepts behind them. However, he was very helpful on adjusting study skills, and was understanding and helpful when I had trouble in the class. …more Difficult, but willing to work with students. less

Mr. Barnes is a very difficult teacher to understand. Most of my classmates either failed or dropped the class. He isn't clear and doesn't explain how the problems are applied. I would not suggest him.

I'm good at math. I got this stuff. Not much work. I did the practice problems and only showed up on days for tests and quizzes. I got a 96 and didn't have to take the final.

Took the class for a week. He was so bad. He said the first 4 chapters were a review, but only 1 person knew the stuff. I wanted to take calc, but he change my decision.

In the beginning, I had a hard time keeping up with Dr. Barnes. To get an acceptable grade, you really need to work for it. I struggled with the first four chapters but once I finally asked him for help, I did just fine.
