Very hard teacher. Tests are way too long for the allotted time. Nice woman but I would never take this class again. I can tell she tries to make us like it, but it made me dislike chemistry further.

Her lectures are fairly clear, but outside work with the homework and text is needed to fully understand the material. She's also really helpful and wants you to learn and understand the material, which is a step above a lot of other teachers at CUA. The material is hard, but that's not due to …more havanki: the class is hard in itself. less

I had Dr. Havanki for General Chemistry 1 in Fall of 2016. The course was very similar to AP Chemistry, and she was an amazing teacher. She makes note packets for her lectures which make studying for quizzes and tests so much easier. She also offers online office hours the night before her exams. …more Her exams and quizzes are very easy. less

By far the best professor I've had at CUA, she wants you to do well and provides extra help around the clock and the night before exams. She's very caring and personable. Great professor, great person.

She's a nice lady, but does have this heavy indifferent attitude that really discourages anyone who might not be at the A/ B+ range. She gives an attitude when many people appear at her office hours.
