Very good teacher, very interesting. Unreasonably hard grader.

Avoid Grady. She is not helpful, and a ridiculously hard grader. Her class is extremely boring, reads from powerpoints for an hour, then small group work. She'll shaft you on points for small parts of a really long paper. She's one of those professors who doesn't care about you or your grades, and …more hates to give As. less

If you want to be a great Social Worker, take Professor Grady. She explained all the concepts well and she is available to meet with you, email, or speak to you by phone if you need to help. I will take her again.

She is a VERY tough grader BUT is always well prepared for class and is a really great instructor. You will learn so much from her So take her !!!!!! But be prepared to obsess over APA style on your papers. Also, get her to help with your paper prior to submitted for grade.

Grady is unforgiving. You'll learn a lot but you'll also hate her in the process. I don't know how she is a social worker.

Avoid. Somehow she makes the most useful class in your MSW a chore and horrible. Literally anyone else is better than Grady.

Yes, she is a touch grader. But this is a Master's program and I appreciate having someone hold me to a higher standard. As aren't impossible if you are willing to put in A level work. Classes are a mix of lecture and group activities. She seems standoffish but is awesome if you go and ask for …more help or clarification. less

Rigid. Knows material, but relies on PowerPoint slides and showing videos. Excellent in engaging class participation around class readings (awkward if you have not completed the required reading for class).

Professor Grady's class was one of the better classes I took at CUA. She's very intelligent and she explains concepts clearly. Her class required a lot of effort but not more than I would expect from a graduate level course. I respect a teacher who holds her students to a high, but manageable, …more standard. less
